2005 Honda Civic VP 1.7L Valve cover gasket
I am in process of doing first timing belt change for 2005 honda civic.
The kit I ordered didn't include the valve cover gasket or the rubber seals for the valve cover. The car has 105,000 miles on it. I'm thinking maybe I should change these seals also. Any recommendations for brands for this or know which company makes the OEM seals for this?

Any major gasket maker (fel-pro, cometic, gates, etc) should offer one. I just recently changed my timing belt, tensioner, and pump at 105k and did NOT replace my valve cover gasket because it wasn't leaking, and still isn't. I did inspect it for cracks and clean the head surface well before re-installing, but still have no issues. It's so easy to get to and do that I'm not worried about it, if it starts to leak it'l be minor anyways and take 15 min to change.
Up to you, I understand the proactive approach and appreciate it, but if you had no issues prior, you probably won't have any after. Just my $0.02

Yeah, good point. I was thinking of not doing it also but watched a video of a guy changing the gasket and all the spark plug seals. He showed that they were much harder and less flexible than the new ones. I guess I'll find out when I take off.
