Timing belt or chain?

If you're thinking about changing it, it's really not that hard.
It's just a matter of taking things off and putting things back on. But then again, I suppose everything on a car is that to some degree or another.

very true.. but when you think about it, fixing a car is just remove and replace. but if everyone could do it, well ide be outa job

Ha trust me, I know all about that. But it's not an incredibly complicated procedure. Yeah, if you wiggle things around without the belt on you can ding up some valves, and suddenly a 3 hour job turns into a 3-day-with-machine-shop job. But if you're not stupid, it's fairly simple. Just make sure the tensioner's locked back all the way.
If you can read a service manual and have average (or slightly below, with proper leverage) arm strength, you can change a timing belt. Small hands would help.
