Rear Lower Shock Bolt
Hey everyone, I'm trying to change my rear blown shock and found that the lower bolt is rusted and fused to the sleeve inside the shock bushing. I sprayed it with penetrating oil, tried heating it up and it's not going anywhere. I put an impact gun on it to loosen it and it ended up stripping the welded nut and destroying the rubber bushing. Has anyone else run into this problem before? If so, how did you get the nut off? My dremel tool is not small enough to fit in the space and a grinder can't fit either. Any help/suggestions would be great! Thanks. (05 EX/Canadian Si coupe)

Re: Rear Lower Shock Bolt
The only way I was able to do it was to chop the shock itself off and replace them with new ones. Same thing happened to a friend of mine too. Unlucky, but it seems to happen to all us Canadian Em2 owners.
