It's really not that difficult, just time consuming. And if you don't do it all in that order, you will jack something up (ask me how I know)...

Nope.. door panels aren't necessary.. at least in a coupe. Just the rear panels. Basically everything behind the driver seat.

Pain in the @$$!!
I took apart some of it during my lunch break.
I only had to remove the baby seat, then fold down the two back seats.
The two pillars on the side, whatever its called, each has just one bolt at the bottom that I needed a long bit to get to. Then there's this pain in the @$$ plastic hook at the top. It would have been much easier with a friend. Thru the trunk, after folding the carpeting, I stuck my hand in a hole in the steel and felt the end of the cheap plastic hook and push it up - but it kept falling back down when I swung around to the back seat to try to unhook it.
I'll just have to drive around like this until I have time to finish.

Yea... it sucks.. I was retarded a few years ago and I had my old polk speakers, thinking they were 6x9's and tried to install them without a DIY... 3 hours later, I found out the speakers were 5x7's... Retarded? ...yes. Though, that has to be the best DIY I've seen for that job.

Yeah, I know.
I see how the middle belt is under the bench.
Not a problem.
Still a pain.
I took out the panel finally -- 1/2 hour before picking up my 3yo son.
Now I can't do a damn thing.
Right now, the plastic cover [panel] is still attached to the middle belt.
Oh, well, I'll just have to drive around like this - with the belt buckles banging on the metal body.

Ya thats how civics are. OH AND DONT PUT BACK THE LAST SCREWS CLOSEST TO THE WINDOW. Once you take them out, leave them that way. Can't imagine how hard it would be to take them back out.
