First month of ownership

I’m loving my 05 EX (I’m in canada so i get magical chrome si badges). Still have plenty of work left to do to it but so far it’s been a great first car

Save yourself the trouble and sell it. I'm still working on mine. The money I've already put into it I could have bought a newer car that actually works. And I haven't even touched the engine yet nor have I gotten a paint job. By the time the civic is a beast I'll have spent so much money on it I could probably buy a Tesla Model S with it. And the car will be a couple years older as well. The engine is weak and a pain to work with so a swap is almost necessary and the entire aerodynamic and what way the car was built doesn't lend itself to a race theme. If you slam it you'll run into issues as well. The car is simple a commuter, not a sports car. I'm telling you if that's your first car and you're dreaming of owning a turbo civic that will turn heads be prepared to drop some serious money (30k upwards). A k swap alone, if done with all new and fancy parts so you can show off the engine bay will cost you 15-20k. Then there's the paint job, wheels, electronic parts, maybe a stereo, body work and more. If I could start over knowing what I know now I'd elect a different foundation. Good luck.

Howdy folks im Khursten. I bought my purdy lil 02 in December of last year. Then it turned into my senior project. Got it finished on the last week of school! d17a1 ran good for a couple months or so then dewkied out on me. So I swapped a d17A in it's place. Had it running for a couple weeks So far it runs great. It was reeaallyy easy compared to some other vehicles my instructor had me and my friend do. Plug and play and no crazy hard to reach bolts.

Swapped thermostat housing to the one without EGR o-ring was leaking water out of it.

Currently got a VTEC YO! Switch installed so I could switch to 16v to me a little umph getting on the highway.
