Re: (toyomatt84)
my civic with a k20a2 has been running off a stock PRB since 2001 with not ONE single mechanical issue. motor had 2000 miles on it when it was swapped, just went over 66k recently.

What shift linkage are you using? EP3 shift linkage is too short.

Re: (toyomatt84)
im assuming hes trying to use the EM2 cables. make sure its clearing the heat sield under the car , the rsx ones fit on my car a bit different than the civic ones. just find yourself some rsx cables dude , if the civics wont fit good.
ok who has info on a serpentine belt for eliminating A/C on the K20A2?

if you're not running p/s OR a/c, and you're doing 5 pulley setup (crank, water pump, ep3 idler pulley, alternator, auto tensioner) then it's a 50.5" 7 rib belt, and i forget the number on it but i just bought one from napa the other day.

The RSX ones will fit, if you run them like the EM2 ones were. (hugging the body, under the heatshield)

Re: (toyomatt84)
the heat shield is in the way like i said , you have to route them slightly different , and i recall it involved temporarily bending the shield out of the way to mount them , and bending it back. like instead of your cables comming down on the passenger side of the heat shield , it will be drivers now.
of course im running PS , you crazy? lol. i wanna leave my pully system the way it is and just get a belt short enough to get rid of the AC pump.

they are off to the driver side. it seems insanly stupid.. I know, but I have done everything i can think of to ensure length and fitment. Does the k20 tranny sit higher in the engine compartment than the d17?? I am just completely out of ideas.

Re: (sicem01)
gee that sucks dude , and this isnt to salt your wounds but mine just fit right perfect. its gotta be a routing issue dude , cause i assure you they are long enough. maybe the cables you got for your swap arent RSX cables , maybe someone fuked up or fuked you on the cables. i hope you get er my man , good luck.
EDIT , no the trannys sit about the same height really.

The RSX type S cables fit. I don't know why they would be short for your setup. Could you take some pictures.

Re: (1llmatic)
yea ill get some pics on here tomorrow of the linkage shortage. i appreciate the help. i know that it sounds like a dumasses question. It's almost embarrasing to ask, but something stupid is wrong and im just so overwhelmed with odds and ends bullshit that i cant figure this out!! Can anyone find me some step by step instructions on the k swap to em2. the only ones i have are too vague to answer some of my questions

Re: (blackKready)
blackKready good to hear you solved your CEL issue.
sicem01 you could call acura and ask for the dimensions. I'm not sure what the dimensions are. Did you manage to upload that picture?

You're welcome.
My IACV was jammed shut too, when I got it.
