Default Manual Tranny Countershaft Locknut Torque Spec?

Hi Hondatech,

I have 2001 Acura EL 1.7 same as 7th gen civic (2001-2005).

I am rebuilding my manual tranny, was about to close my case soon, I have replace my countershaft locknut, coz I have misplaced my old one.

my old one pics...

I have read to some post here that is it 80 ft lbs?
In the manual but not sure if it is for 2001-2005 civic that says 97 ft lbs? that would be so tight.
Lastly doneone posted for all Dseries that it is 65ft lbs?
Please need help here, sorry too many information.

Thank you in advance!

FK

Default Re: Manual Tranny Countershaft Locknut Torque Spec?

ok it is confirmed it is 65ft lbs.
I found my old locknut with old stake in it, chk the torque by redoing it again, it appears that it is right on my click and beam torque that shows it is 65ft lbs.

Dseries 7th generation is dead on this forum.

But thanks anyway!
