So I recently had a problem with my cars cooling system, went to the mechanic and they did a test and found a leak in my radiator, so I got a new one and put it in, now before this I had noticed a small drip of coolant on the right side (looking at car) well behind the radiator, the mechanic never mentioned anything about it. So after I replace my radaitor I finally get to drive my car and everything is going smooth, normal operating temp I drive it for an hour at night come back and go to sleep, today I take it to work still no problem with the temp but after my short break in the afternoon in which I started my car and ran the a/c I noticed the drip in the same spot as before, it's not a bad drip, quite slow and at some point it does stop leaking completely, but it is coolant, thing is I had my water pump and timing belt changed about 20,000 miles ago, could the water pump be failing already the leak does seem like it could be close to the weep hole? And to top all this off my hood release cable is broke so I can't get under the hood to look at anything and/or add more coolant to make up for what's lost in the leak. So this weekend will be a busy one for me. Any tips on getting the hood open? Best way I've seen is jack the car up and find the cable by the latch and make a makeshift hook device to get it open. Thanks all!

Yep, front of car up on jack stands, [never get under a car that is just up on a jack]

Remove flash/splash pan and reach up to latch and release, depending on where cable broke, you may just be able to dethatch outer cable from latch and there may be some inner cable left to pull.

What is the MM&Y of your car, where is the cable broken, can you tell? 94
