My 04 civic at idle the lights are constant. When you drive or rev it up the lights pulse very fast but will not keep a steady brightness. The alt and battery was checked at a parts store and it was fine..... What could it be?

A bad ground, perhaps.

What grounds should I check. Alternator belt couldn't cause it would it?

Well, if the alternator belt isn't at proper tension, then yes it could cause this issue.

The grounds I would check would be the engine grounds. If they're corroded or anything, you'll get a poor circuit and could cause dimming lights.

I replaced the belts a couple weeks ago and when I did it they were perfect no squeak or nothing now you'll hear a hint for just a split second a little chirp when I hit the accelerator hard while sitting.
How many ground are there? I just want to narrow down what I should look at . There isn't any fuses or stuff I should check is there?

I do have an aftermarket alpine stereo could that be the cause ? No other aftermarket stuff just the stereo. Could that do it?
