Key Stuck in ignition, Stuck in Park, No park light in dash
Hello,
2004 Civic, ex, 2dr automatic with a remote starter installed.
The key is stuck in the ignition. If I unhook the battery the key comes out.
Also stuck in park, if I depress the lockout on console it will go into drive and I can opperate the car.
Checked the micro switches in console and they seem to be functioning.
Checked the PRNDL switch and it seems to be good.
The Brake Lights work.
The Park Light on the dashboard does NOT come on when the transmission is in park. I think that is the root of the problem. Somewhere in there is a break in the loop. Is there a wiring diagram? Is there some other transmission switch that confirms the transmission is in park other than the PRNDL switch?
Just put in a new brake light switch, no difference.
What else can I check to get this working again?

It was the black and white wire from the PRNDL switch. Not at the connection at the PRNDL switch but the one under the air filter. When I took connector apart and turned it around I noticed that the black and white wire was broken. No idea how that happened? Squirrel? So, patched it up, park light came on, key came out.
