How to remove 03 sedan armrest

I have an armrest that I'm trying to remove and it's being a little difficult. It's the kind that contains the base of the shifter and its attached to the front console.

I've removed 4 screws on the back sides, the 1 screw that's in the storage bin and the 2 snaps connecting it to the front console (actually, I broke those but hey - they're off). It feels like there are some screws that I'm missing, but I can't see anything else.

Oh and Hi ... it's my first post. I'm new here. And yes, I searched before I posted https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

Thanks!
Graham

Your removal description sounds more like a center console removal, as the removal for the arm rest requires un-zipping the backside of the arm rest itself.

open the armrest and remove the rubber cover at the bottom. there should be 3 screws there.

Thanks for the replies. Yep I'm trying to remove the center console / armrest.

My armrest / console looks like this:

And here is what is inside under the rubber thing:

I removed only 1 screw from underneath the rubber thing (I removed the one on the left - the other 2 holes on the right were vacant). It's still not budging. Is it held on by clips down there? Should I just haul on it?

that piece doesn't come off by itself. the center console has 1 main entire piece and that's part of it.

here's how to remove the console.

There are screws ont he left and right of the center console. these are located near the back beside the backrest of the seat.

next you also want to go ahead and remove the two screws holding the lever onto the center console.

when you got that done you'll need to pop up the black panel housing around the shifter. unscrew the screws holding the panel into place and the plastic arms on the side.

remove the cigarellete lighter panel. it pops off but becareful you don't pull too much as there are wires attached.

There is also two self tapping screws on the left and right at the front of the console. pop those out.

go ahead and pull the console back fromt he dash and it should pop off.

removed!

Yep no problems.

You mean this part?

I'm not sure how to "pop" this off. From my Helms it says that there are 4 screws holding it in there. What I think I need is to get to the 2 screws shown here as "B":

There is no description of the armrest in my Helms btw ... odd and frustrating. I think I've found a way in through the center console storage bin. I'm going to try that route.

yup that part.

to pop off the center console you'll pull away from your front of the car towards the back. it's held in by clips.

there is about 2 or three screws in the armrest at the bottom that needs to be removed.
