The ECM/PCM is ignoring the signal from that sensor and running as if it were working fine. Usually it would go into limp mode though.
Check for pinched wires, bad wire/connection then reset the ECM/PCM.
Do you need the diagnostic tree? Do you have a multi-meter and know how to use it?
