so my sister bought an 01 civic EX. im good with older cars but this is new. so i went to change her radio but first i told her to turn on the car because it has VTEC =]. so when she tried it didnt turn on so we got another battery but that didnt get it to start. when it turns on it makes like a grinding noise. my question is where is the starter located cause im use to the older models where its all directly in view, she needs to get to work
any help is apprecaited. i couldnt find anything in a search so if its already please direct me to it thx =]

If I remember correctly, it's on the firewall side of the engine, above the drive shaft.

thought it was on the passenger side above the trans?

i dont know which one it is, is it the denzo one? any way we tried to jump it and it still wouldnt start, no power to anything this time. i said theres something draining the battery, what should i check? fuses? which one?
