I have a 2002 Honda Civic LX. I have a similar problem with my car. The headlight warning buzzer has stopped working. When I look at the owners manual, there is no fuse for this buzzer noted. The dome light of the car still comes on when the door is open and car is turned off. Can anyone help me with this problem?

The buzzer/chime is inside the multiplex module. Test operation of multiplex box functions by connecting diagnostic connector, and activating each multilpex controlled function as per shop manual, or take to a dealership to have diagnosed.

My girlfriends 2004 Civic was doing the same thing. Open driver door and no interior light. Leave headlights on and open driver door, no warning beep/buzzer.

I took the switch off and disconnected it and reconnected it... and it now works. BUT - it flickers so I think the switch itself is bad so I'm going to replace it. Temporarily replaced it with the right rear passenger switch. Driver's door switch was significantly more worn than rear passenger.

After reading the comments left on Amazon I saw and confirmed that replacing this switch also made the 'keys still in ignition' beeper start working.

These door switches can get mangled when a seatbelt gets caught in a slamming door.

Swapped the rear passenger door switch back to it's original place and installed the new Amazon switch. Works great. While I was playing with electrical I also installed a new light bulb in the console for the automatic stick. Used an LED and it works fine. Disappointed there is not a pointer in the console, but at least I can see the positions at night now.
