Honda Civic Dimension 2001 shifting problem
I bought my Honda Civic 2001 A/T last year November 2023, after a week using it is not shifting to 3rd gear and stuck into 2nd gear with high RPM. So, first I changed the transmission fluid and it's still the same, after that I went to our local auto mechanic and he told me that the transmission needed to rebuild and change the torque converter. By the way the torque converter we found out that is the loud noise we hear. We wait for the rebuilding kits and rebuild the transmission and test drive and still not shifting to 3rd gear. I researched and saw on Youtube that it might be the shift solenoid is the problem. So, I changed it and it is now shifting to 3rd gear and higher.
After I changed the shift solenoid whenever I start and shift it into drive, it's like jerking or diving forward. I read some forum here in honda-tech and saw a thread with the same issue and the reason for that is bad engine support. So I changed the front engine/transmission support and it solved my problem.
Now whenever it shift down, when slowing to full stop there is still jerking or diving backward I can feel it from the rear part of the engine I already changed the rear engine support yesterday and it is still the same.
