How much are you guys paying for a timing belt and water pump change?
My car is at the 110k mark and my water pump is on its way out. Ive been calling around (honda dealership and a couple independent garages that have good reviews) and ive gotten quoted between 740-1000. I am handy with some stuff on the car but this isnt one of those i can do.
How much is everyone paying for the timing belt/water pump?

I had my front crank seal, valve cover, front cam seal, water pump, timing belt, and oil pan gasket done all for about 640 from a local mechanic.

Hmm i cant seem to find those prices around here. Im in CT. My brother had his 2001 civic done at this place nearby which included those other belts also for like 650 or 700. But a day after he got it back, he had a check engine light. He brought it back and they fixed it. Not too long after that his car went (190k). I know his ecu was fried and the alternator bolt was lose and possibly a sensor was damaged.
Idk if it was a coincidence or what but it makes me scared of who to trust with my car!
