When the Gas light Comes on, about how far do i have b4 i need to get gas? IF this has been said flame away, but i did search

i wana know this too.

i've gone ~20mi with it on. didnt have the guts to go farther

i do know it's a "u need to get gas NOW!" and not a "your getting low. u should fill up soon"

THe car i learned to drive in's light was Get Gas now or your Walking!!!!

well in my car, when that light goes on, i have about 3 gallons left in the tank.

so 3x30 = ~90 miles...

yeah same thing. when i go to fill up, the pump stops after putting 9 gallons, so i did the math and got 3. either way, you could go a pretty good distance.

This just happened to me today...the needle was almost at E and the light came on. So I kept on driving and after 10 mins the needle went back up and the light went off. Filled it up to a lil less than 10 gal so 3 gal left sounds right. By the way, the fuel gauge varies a lot.

Yeah, mine came on the other day then went off, I drove about 30-40 miles and put 10.5gal in. Our fuel gauges vary a lot, but if it comes on and stays on I'd say it's around 2-3 gallons.
