Have a read through these pages mate, before you get raped for not searching. This topic comes up just about every other f**king post.
The answers are all here if you're serious about doing it.
This section of H-T needs a sticky at the top stating what swaps are available for the 7th gen...
...PLEASE, NO MORE "WHAT ENGINE CAN I SWAP INTO MY EM2...?" !!!

Re: (01HonderCivic)
Im pretty sure the F140 plugs right in, and will show great gains. You might need to fab up an exhaust system, but that should be about it. The wire harness is pretty much the same even.

Re:
i think i'd try a b16. thats your best bet.
you'll pass all test's too. especially when you need to get your inspection sticker renewed, you'll be fine.
or jus swap the new mercedes bi-turbo v12 in it. that works also.

Re: (Curiouz_G)
Cant believe no one backed up the idea of the F140 with me. The motor did wonders for the Enzo Ferrari. Not enough power? Twin turbo that. Better yet, just run some NAWZ

That's definitely true. I've got a friend who dropped an RB into his 240sx (sorry I don't have pics), and it's truly insane when he hits 3500rpms. Thank god for his Sparco racing seats, otherwise I'd be still on that road, after flying through the back of the car.

Apparently not, it would seem.
He's probably weighing up his options from the suggestions above....

I have the IDEAL idea.
Swap in a Honda lawnmower engine. Good gas mileage, and when VTEC hits, you will have smooth grass everywhere.

eh CA18DET is too heavy, that's part of the reason why it was never so popular with the 240SX guys out here. Motor weighs more than an SR20, there are less aftermarket parts and it's just not cool to have. hahaha. i totally agree with the RB26 though, Attesa ETS on a Civic would rock on those difficult parallel parking jobs.

It's only 80lbs more than an SR20. I'd be fine with the extra 80lbs for an iron block and that more "rare" feeling.

To me, the higher boost potential, along with the smaller size (actual dimensions, which allow for an easier 50/50 distribution) is more desireable. Either way, both engines are masterpieces of mechanical precision.
