Re: (mrDFWmechanic)
no, im for real my engine has about 101 hp, pretty shitty, and the ls-7 engine is probably one of the best engines available, im just not sure if it is possible and wanted a few opinions.

Re: (danscivic)
Your car is front wheel drive.
Corvette is rear wheel drive. Your engine bay is small. |
Re: (Kn1ves)
i realize that, but is it possible
|
Re:
Good luck fitting that in. My Dad has a corvette we park next to each other in the garage.. corvette engine bay is HUGE...

No you dont realize it. Unless you have $30k+ to spend, in which case you shoulda bought a RWD car to begin with. Let's see here. Honda engine = 1.7 liters LS7 = 7 liters How is that going to fit again? Maybe youve never seen a corvette engine before. http://www.speedingtexan.com/My%20Ca...rom%20side.jpg http://www.brcorvetteclub.com/images...Z06_engine.jpg |

Yes, considering anything is possible with unlimited funds. Is it logical? No. Is it useful? No. Are there better options? Yes. Should you do it? Only if you feel like wasting a lot of money, for little performance gain. You'd be doubling the amount of weight over the front wheels, and removing the drivetrain that would optimize the use of that. You'll not be able to use all that power, because there's no weight over the rear wheels. |
Re: (toyomatt84)
put a 351 in a focus for 6-8 grand

I thinkk your a Jackass for even wanting to do it... I mean Look at a Civic Engine bay and then Look at a VETTE.. Jackass |
Re: (Rich EX)
at least its possible, i dont care about price, i have alot of money that doesnt matter to me
|
Re: (danscivic)
ok you win. its possible. hurray!
|
DO IT, post your progress too. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif.

put it in the back seat!

Re: Corvette LS-7 engine in a civic? (danscivic)
Not to mention that the height of the engine is probally alot bigger than the front end of the car. You would have to cut the hood all up and the firewall. All new locations for the front suspension mounts all haha millions of other useless cutups.
|
if you have all this money then why not just ditch the shitty civic and buy a vette problem solved ?
|
Re: (mrDFWmechanic)
+1, no offence and i love my honda but a vette is way nicer then a fucking civic. and ya if ur gonna do it ur a moron cuz its money wasted. but either way have fun with ur money and do what u want but only morons waste money and one day if ur flat broke becuase u put a corvette engine in a civic ur gonna smack urself in the face and if u sell ur car u probably wont get shit for it either. just my opinion tho
|
why dont you swap a f22c motor in there? its never been done before and im sure you'll be able to fit it in there if money isnt a issue. after that, boost it :D
