Coil springs?

Coil springs?
I recently changed my coil springs back to factory. My question: is it possible to put the springs in wrong (front)? Whenever I turn left I hear a clunking like the spring is moving. Am I supposed to be able to move the spring a little back and forth by hand when it's on the car?
