Icon3 Misfire

Some one please help!!! I bought a 2005 Honda civic in jan of this year. I got it home and it staring misfiring on all 4 cylinders so I changed the spark plugs, wires and coil packs. It ran great until on my way to work this morning i got of the highway came up to stop light and it was idleing ruff. I got to work pulled it my parking lot and the check engine light started flashing at me. Now I know this means I had a misfire but I just changed all that stuff 8 mouths ago. Can the spark plugs or coil packs go bad that quickly or is there another problem that would cause it to misfire.

Have you had the code scanned to find out why you have a Check Engine Light?

Yes misfire in cylinder 4. I checked the spark plugs when I got home and it looks eroded. But like I said I just replace all 4 plugs 8 months ago and have only put about 30 thousand miles on my car. Not sure why it's gone bad.

change the plug & coil between 1 and 4 cylinder. If the problem still on 4 cylinder the problem is between ECU and your coil.Maybe this is D16V1 engine ?

I change the plug on 4 and reset the computer. I drove a couple miles and all seemed good. I got in it this morning and the light came back on. Its still reading misfire on 4. The guys at autozone said that the fuel injector might be stuck open cause the plug in 4 was white and croded. Does anyone know how to see if a fuel injector is bad or not?

Perhaps you can swap the FI with another cylinder and look to see if the problem follows the FI.

Section 11-80 of the FSM cover diagnosis of the P030x missfire codes.
You can download it for free here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/oa...em2_repair.zip

My civic is doing something similar, so I'll be going through them today!

Well I'm pretty sure it's the fuel injector. I switched the coil packs and it still read misfire on 4. I then added fuel injector cleaner in to the gas tank and within a day my light was off and it was idleing ruff anymore. Hopeful it was just a blockage and not a bad injector but time will only tell. Thanks for all the help. I really do appreciate it. I wasn't looking forward to paying for all new fuel injectors. Now if I could just figure out why my air bag light is on lol
