OEM Honda Coolant and Manual tranny fluid question.
I have decided to keep my Em2 and I am ready to start doing some maintenance work to it. I also have a S2k and there was one type of MANUAL Tranny fluid not to get, that the dealers were giving people. So the question would be what kind of OEM coolant and manual Tranny fluid. Anyone know the part #'s. I'm not getting it done at the dealership. Lmk thanx.

In your Civic, you'll just use Manual Transmission Fluid. The P/N for the old type is 08798-9016. The P/N for the new type is 08798-9031.
For the coolant, the Honda Type 2 Antifreeze/Coolant P/N is OL999-9011

I am the tech manager at Prestone. We are huge OE supplier to several Asian OE's. You can use Prestone extended life coolant in your Honda with no issues. I have installed it personally in several Civics that are now pushing 300k miles, changing coolant every 100k miles. No signs of any issues. Yes, we know Honda dyes their coolant blue, that is all it is, blue dye. Inn fact, there are currently only three very slightly different antifreeze technologies in todays market, but their is over 8 different colors!
