2005 Honda Civic EX - Steering Hissing Sounds
Hello,
This is my first post and i'm looking for some help. I had to replace my wife's battery today in her civic. She had to drive the car in silence because I have to get her the code to get the radio working again. She stated when driving in her work parking lot, she heard a hissing noise any time she made a turn. Does anyone know what this could be? She's a very nervous driver and wants to take it to a mechanic, even though my dad usually helps us with our cars since he's a mechanic. Unfortuntely, we work totally different hours so we can't drive together and she doesn't want to wait until this weekend to get my dad's help. Can anyone recommend any advice on what it could be?
Thanks.

Check for the radio code: How to recover your Radio Code. - Honda Civic Forum
Hissing while driving would indicate you may be low on power steering fluid, loose PS belt or a failing PS pump. Check ASAP the fluid in the PS reservoir is at least above the low mark. If not add PS fluid. Check for PS fluid leaks too if you are really low on PS fluid. Check that the PS belt is not loose.
