In my opinion, the K-series should have been an offering for the sedan and coupe platforms. And, your car is a perfect "case-in-point". Great work!

I finally got around to installing a TL shifter assembly. I think I'm going to redo my adapter brackets for it and slide it forward some. After that, I can redo the piece around it to do away with the gap.

My old power steering pump started leaking on me so I went to pull a part and scored a replacement off of a wrecked rsx. Ol k20 has been pretty much hassle free since the swap though.

SWEET! Great job man! I love custom cars. You can't buy anything like this from Honda. Like I said before, that engine looks stock in this car. Quick questions- So you hopefully never regretted doing the swap? Is the car reasonably quick now? Also, what's your gas mileage now? Thanks

I miss the gas mileage of the d17. I get mid to high 20s with the k20 though. I dont regret the swap at all. Reasonably quick? Na not fast at all but better than the d17 and a lot more torque. I can pull out in traffic with no worry of getting up speed now.

Awesome. Thanks for responding. I think your car would probably get much better mileage with a 6 speed manual transmission, but I could be wrong. Also, I think that a K20A/A2/Z1 would also get better mileage from higher compression. Also, great job again.

Another question- I know you had to mount the mounts for the K20, but did you use stock mounts? Also, which CV axles did you use? Sorry for all the questions, I’m sure you want to kill me for asking so many questions lol.

The higher compression doesn't correlate with better fuel consumption. The most efficient choice would be a K20A3 or K24A1 with a 4.01 Final Drive from an Indian (country) CR-V. You'll also save on fuel costs from not needing to run higher octanes. The K20A requires high octane fuel.

To be fair, you did weld in the stock chassis mounts from the RSX. Without drilling/cutting, a swap kit would be necessary.

Ok, I'm totally cool with welding in the stock mounts to save $500 for a mount kit.

Thank you very much. Can I still use stock RSX axles if I stay with 4 lug? Thanks.

Yes base axles work with civic 4 lug. Type S axles will not work

Thank you very much for your help. Also, besides changing the wiring harness and ECU, what other wiring mods did you have to do?

to be fair, you provided a link for a manual swap. There is a good bit of extra wiring to run the automatic. Plus little things like a/c lines, trans cooler, etc that aren't covered or bad info is provided. I covered most of the stuff in my posts but I didn't go in to detail on the wiring.
