2003 Honda Civic EX Emissions/Fuel Problem
Hello everyone!
I am new here and ironically found these forums while searching for a problem I am having. I noticed that my gas has been burning extremely fast especially during highway driving. For example, I work 30 miles away from my job, on a full tank after two days (120 miles) I am at half a tank. Listed mpg is 35/highway non the less I will see the display go down two lines just to move back up one in five/ten minutes. The emissions like also came on for a few days but has since gone out.
Anyone have this happen to them? Know what maybe happening? Is this common?
I am know cars but am still very much a novice and would appreciate any feedback, thank you in advance!

Re: 2003 Honda Civic EX Emissions/Fuel Problem
From the manual here is what it says for the light :
"Malfunction indicator lamp": this indicator should light when the ignition switch is on, and go out after the engine starts. If it comes on at any other time, it indicates one of the engine's emissions control systems may have a problem. Even though you may feel no difference in your car's performance, it can reduce your fuel economy and cause your car to put out excessive emissions. Continued operation may cause serious damage.
