2003 Civic Ex. Overflow in Rez. Head Gasket
Got a 2003 Civic EX one owner from my sister in law. The car sat for a few months, but runs and drives like a dream
Heres my issue, Coolant is pushed into the overflow slowly drive by drive until it flows over into the battery tray. Replaced the radiator cap. Small leak found at the upper hose and lower heater hose. Would this cause coolant to not be taken back up? Woukd two small leaks cause a system not to turn to vaccum and being the coolant out of the rez. Am i just lookokg at a blown HG? The coolant smells like gas, but is clean from what i can see. No white smoke or fouled plugs. Im stumped

Head gasket failure is very common on these cars. It sounds certain that is at least one problem you are seeing. It also usually seems that when the head gasket fails, exhaust gasses escape into the cooling system, not that coolant is leaking into the cylinders, so you would likely not see evidence on spark plugs or on the pistons.
You may want to check your oil dipstick and inside of your oil fill cap for signs of coolant mixing with oil too.
I can't really comment on the overflow tank.

The car doesnt overheat and i drive it in city traffic 200 miles per day. About 10 hours of steady stop and start driving and nothing. No coolant in the oil, i changed and inspected it this weekend. After the flush the only evidence i can see of any carbon is solely on the overflow. When i drained the radiator it was bright green with no oilyness to it. No milky color. Fans come on when they are supposed to. The only symptom i am getting is the overrlow tank.
had an oil leak down the front of the block. Replaced the cam plug and valve cover. Now much less oil, but still a singular few drips that seem to occur only when the car is cold.

Besides the block are there other known oil leak spots from the passenger side of the motor that would be lower than the cam plug? Warped head allowing small amount of oil to seep out while pressurizing my coolant system?

lol how high are you filling the overflow ? if you are filling it more than halfway, or specifically higher than the "overfill" mark then you are putting too much and as the system warms up it expands and coolant will run out of the top
