2003 Civic EX Cold Weather Won't Start
Have a 5 speed 2003 Honda Civic EX that will not start the first few times turning the ignition when it's in the 30's or colder. I turn the ignition and there is no response/no crank. The other day I turned it 3 times and the third turn it cranked right up and for the remained of the day it cranks fine. This morning it cranked right up (in the 40's). The battery has just been replaced and the starter has been tested (again after first crank each day it starts the rest of the day without a problem). What should I be looking at that would be effected by temperature like this?
Thanks

Re: 2003 Civic EX Cold Weather Won't Start
So I believe I've found the issue. There are 2 Clutch Starter/Safety Switches located above the clutch. One is 12 mm (yellow) and the other is a 10 mm(white). After researching a little I found this article Honda Civic, Cold Weather, No Start - Car Talk and I looked under my dash board and found them. Considering this only happens when it is cold I assumed that it was possible that the 10mm switch gets stuck when it's cold and does not release when I push in the clutch. I ordered a new one yesterday but also took some good ol' WD-40 and sprayed a little on the switch and moved it in and out a few times. I woke up this morning and it's 14 degrees...and she fired right up...so hopefully this switch was just sticking.
