I was driving doing some xmas shopping today... noticed my car started shaking when I was on a complete stop. I immediately shut the car off... turned it back on- still was shaking, I immediately started driving the car then slowed down in about half a minute... shake was gone. engine light never came on at anytime during the strange shake. drove the car repeatedly and still can not reproduce the same shake. all I know it scared the heck out of me & I thought it was very strange that it only happened once.

any thoughts?

btw... car is stock & very well taken care of.

ya mine does that too..not to bad of a shake..just enough to notice..not sure what it is.

coulda just been your ecu letting the idle rpm go too low for a sec. sometimes mine'll do that too when coming to a complete stop fast. especially when the engine is cold (cold here means -10 tho)

you would have figured if it was that bad- the check engine light would come on.

if it happens again ile take it to the dealership right away. if not- ile just wait when my next oil change is due for a look.

just thought it was really odd.

your check engine light won't come on if a motor is broken or the brushing is worn out
