Default 2002 Civic LX 1.7

Can anyone point me in the right direction where I can get more displacement out of my Civic engine, or should I just install a Turbo..

No my Civic is my daily driver, and I want some more power under 4000 RPMS.. I thought if I could increase displacement a little bit I could have some more torque for daily driving.. A turbo would do the same if it was small enough..

there have been some ' home fabbed turbo kits " but greddy only makes them for the Si applications

you could always do a swap and probably pick up an ep3 motor for the price of boost ( with mounts included and install )

I don't know what a home fab kit is, that sounds like a custom setup vs a kit like the one Dezod Motorsports sells, and I don't think you can do a swap for the price of a turbo kit (with everything you need its a bit less than 4K new).

Anyways, back to the original question, there is/was a stroker kit available, but it was so cost prohibitive, I don't think anyone would ever buy it. Just boost it.

agreed. since u said u have the 1.7 engine, either d17a1 or a2( SOHC VTEC) u will need to contact Dezod motorsports, they make the best kit available for our d17's.

The only other alternative is a K series swap, which is a lot more $$. I wouldnt waist the $$ on stroking a d17 when u can do a K.

turbo... get something in the t25 or smaller range if your just looking for a phatter torque curve. FMU is old school but works like a charm for cheap DIY turbo kits.
