I owned that bay before I started my honda build. few motor mods and I could care less how cluttered it looked in there.

Have you had any problems with vibration? How did you mount them to the frame?

no problems so far , but i am using rubber stand offs, rubber washers, 2 reg bolts, 2 nylon bolts, and lock washers all around , might say its over kill, but i dont want my dis-continued HID's falling off on the freeway somewhere
as far as mounting, the Catz hid's have 4 bolt hole mounts on each corner, so all i did was drill & tap mounting holes on the frame rails

im at a stage at my tuck where both the driver and passenger side shock towers are empty...

but not sure if i should go all out and put the engine harness behind the firewall. there is simply no space to drill a hole that big, with the engine in the way.

Finally get to start her this week!
I'll finish the rest of the wire tuck during the obd1 conversion.

Y-49 FTW! I can't afford to get the car painted at the moment, and there is rust to be dealt with before that happens. The bay will be left primered as I shave and fill as time allows. Over winter I want to learn how to weld so I can fill in some holes.

Bit off topic but does anyone have a front heat shield for a stock ITR header they would like to sell me?

Oh the curse has bit me bad. It's been in an accident. The front is primered thanks to a deer. Rust grows twice as fast on Y-49.
