Default First Honda: 1998 Civic LX with a D15B?

Picked up a 1998 Honda Civic LX with title in hand and 103k miles. Taking that is miles on the body, I noted it had a D15B in it and I know it’s not the stock motor.

It is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. I haven’t drove the car much since I purchased it because I still have yet to register it, but I drove it home 45 miles with no issues.

Car is in great shape, but if the motor was replaced, I have no clue how many miles are actually on it. Time to start preventative maintenance.

Here she is, my 1998 Honda Civic LX. Body has 103k, I thought motor was stock originally (I know nothing about Honda’s yet). Really just needed a good car to get me around South Florida with working A/C and wipers. Was more focused on a reliable getaround, now I’m doing more research and make sure I’m not getting myself into deeper pocket.

Paired with a 4-speed automatic. Manual someday...no idea if transmission is original or how many miles are on it or the motor.

For now, preventative maintenance and maybe some coils and wheels. Drove the car 45 miles in the Florida heat, car ran amazing.
