question bout BENEN TOW HOOKS
im posting this hear because alot of people use those tow hooks as fashion
I wanna get one for the rear (not shure about front yet) but im wondering:
currently I jack the rear up by the rear tow hook,,,, can I do the same thing with the benen? is it strong enough? i mean its held on by bolts not welded like factory tow hooks, wouldn't it just break off with enough force?
thanks

Re: question bout BENEN TOW HOOKS (suckmypistons)
nothing would break.
if you jacked it up by the benen tow hook, it may shift and jam into your bumper. i have no idea because i have never seen a benen tow hook installed in person, but i do understand how that style mounts in general.
that being said, i believe once the benen tow hook is installed you would still be able to place the jack under the stock tow hook and raise the car as you always have.

DO NOT jack the car up by the tow hook itself. It will surely snap off. Jack it up at the same location, even with the tow hook on.

No it won't. I jack my car from there all the time with the benen tow hook on. don't worry about it.
