The EL HVAC is not all it's cracked up to be. You have to trim your dash to make it fit, and it still doesn't "bolt" in. Loose around the edges, and you have to modify your dash wiring harness to make the hazards, clock, A/C, and rear defrost work.

Just curious....is this the same situation for both 96-98 and 99-00 generations. I would think it's a better upgrade for the 96-98 models

You'd have to downgrade for a 99-00, since it's cable-actuated instead of electronic. It only works for the 96-98 airbox.

The main thing you have to modify is cutting out the center rib of the air channel to accommodate for the clock. Also, cutting off a few tabs from the actual dashpad.

i wonder if its possible to change the pointers on ek clusters. I hate how its not pointy on the end. I have seen a DC cluster in a ek and it looks pretty damn good.

It's difficult to remove needles, but it's doable. I used a fork lol.

Don't paint them. Use red LED's in the two bulbs above, and then a different color behind (like amber). It'll make them look red. Look above at my cluster -- the green needles are not painted.

Here is the 2000 CDM 3dr Hatchback 14" DX SE mesh rim that there's been some chatter about. I picked my set up at the local boneyard, remarkably. Wrapped in a Nokian WRG2 and mounted on my 94 Civic Hatch. Part code is stamped SR3-455C which suggests it was also option in some market for a 5th Gen, but I can't find any info on this.

I'd say it looks pretty close to the one pictured in the JDM Accessories catalogue, but with a different centre cap.

(Pic was taken to show the rust that needed repair - so no need for comments!)

A few more photos of a 2000 CDM 3dr DX SE that I have kicking around:

(Note the wing. I have one of these also in Milano Red which I am happy to sell to someone with a decent offer. Needs epoxy to fix a repair that will remain unseen when mounted so no, it's not perfect. PM is key.)

EDIT:

Here is the JDM version of the wheel, with "Modulo" centre caps (told you they were different).

Wish i had "rare" parts, but i do have an EBP Em1 Si that has 7 thousand original miles! Pictures are in my introduction section of the Honda/Acura section of this site. I didn't know that the 99-00 Si's did come with "rare" leather interior and 12 disc CD changers. Mine doesn't even have the "rare" OEM foglights. It does have the side skirts and rear wing...

I don't even own one of these damn 6th Gen Civics, but here's what I found. Some parts are rare, some not native to North America so not seen over here but common elsewhere. I'm no expert on 6th Gens so spare me the attitude.

EDM leather interior, probably dealer-option.

OEM lip, round fogs, note EDM hatch moonroof, probably some other crap

Rear lip

EK9 version

99-00 lips front and rear:

Some other lip, this is on a 3dr b/c I see the rear wiper, not as ostentatious as the ones above, also note standard issue EDM/JDM bumper with protectors

JDM/EDM Non-SRS Wheel 3-spoke

4-spoke

OEM round fogs, is that a Mugen grill? Maybe, I'll let someone else figure that out

Fog light switch, is that a real parking pole switch? Dunno, never seen one in that location before, looks like a sticker on there, might be wrong.

Headlight washers, square fogs

JDM sliding armrest cover

JDM steering column light, also OEM pedal covers

EK9 wheel w/ SRS

Wind visor for moonroof, with flip-up air-flow director, ooooh

2000 VI-RS wheel with leather wrap and.... wtf are those buttons for, we bow before your knowledge oh great one

JDM sunvisors - apparently these are different from USDM? Why, because they have hard covers over the mirrors?

Ooh, a Jordan with some ugly interior, thanks Honda for only producing 500 of these

JDM/EDM folding mirrors w/ relay

JDM Corner lamps

JDM Overhead compartments/sunglass holders

Sun Glass Holder

JDM/EDM "shark fins" - make sure that glue sticks or else be sad for the rest of your life and/or out of pocket some serious coin because for some reason people want these desperately

JDM drawers and cubby holes. You put your weed in there.

JDM rear wiper, power antenna, is that inner tail light upside down

JDM Realtime 4-wheel drive in sedan

Rear trunk parking pole, door wind visors

Gold bling

rear spoilers

super awesome dash mat

Leather shift *****

omg, no explanation necessary, those Japanese are hilarious

rear cup holder

JDM/EDM centre dash vent

Power seat, yo

No clue

Some funny-looking rears

And fronts ...

Cluster matrix

JDM?/EDM Rear window sunscreen for coupe & sedan

EDM trunk stays/stabilizers

^ Lulz. Thanks for the lesson in semantics. By that same logic, the photos of parts on your old red hatch don't belong in this thread either since you parted it out and sold it, ergo you don't OWN them anymore, therefore the parts AREN'T YOURS anymore. QED.

Hopefully you won't counter that with "Hey, parts I used to own are OK too!" because that does not fall within your current narrow interpretation of the thread title/subject line either.
