Re: Official Engine build up Pics Thread (EF Two)
i guess i'll post some.. just for *****...
THIS:
will be replaced ASAP with:
My H22a, that i personally built in my basement/garage.
Originally put together from 2 blown h22a's i had.. final motor consists of a JDM H22a Head <- and a USDM H22a4 Block <-
(just some pix that i have uploaded):
totally stripped down, cleaned in & out.. and finally alil paint
yummy vs. yucky
DIY Port & Polish (with tools i had around the house):
Final product:
After ^^^ that took place all the valves were removed and totally cleaned.. then every valve/valve seat was lapped and grinded for a perfect seal!
Motor Assembled:
with:
ARP Headstuds
Cometic High Pressure Head-Gasket
Billet Cam Seal
All new OEM Honda gaskets, IM, Exhaust, TB etc etc..
tranny is on the way.. JDM H22a (non LSD)
will be mated with an ACT Extreme (stage 3) Pressure plate and a 6 puck disc
and a brand new ACT SFI 8.0lb Flywheel (newer version of Pro-Lite)
will all be going in this!: (my baby)
my 1990 Honda Accord EX-R (CDN) 4-door, 5-speed
once my motor is DONE and RUNNING.. im am biting the bullet and immediately buying a bare H22 Block and having Darton M.I.D Sleeves installed ASAP.. to eventually be used for BOOST! (wish me luck)
my whoring is done

Re: (itsJDMyo)
not exactly progress pics, but I have pics of my motor when I first got it.
JDM CTR motor, wrecked in a circuit race probably.
damage to the tranny casing.
The tranny case, and transmision bearing were replaced with brand new parts from Honda, no progress pics though.

we came to the conclusion that the banjo fitting on the fuel rail wasnt tightened enough bc it was really loose when i was lookin **** over ( takin it apart) so i tink it was pissin fuel on the exhaust and just went up like hiroshima
