OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts

Re: OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts
Hi Everyone,
I'm pleased to say that I have tracked down what are, in my opinion, the absolute rarest of OEM JDM 5G Civic rims. I'd previously exhaustingly scoured the 'net and found that these are so incredibly rare, that I have never even seen a picture of them outside of the catalogue. That is, of course, prior to recently, when I found them and bought them.
Which ones are they, you ask? These 9/18-spoke ones:
Technically they have the wrong centre caps but that's typically easily rectified by swapping in some from a different rim. All in all, pretty pleased about this latest find.

Very happy with my newest purchase.
It's one of the steering wheels from the German Original Zubehör brochure that i haven't seen yet in photo's here. Needless to say i am thrilled to finally have it. 10/10 condition, and bought straight from the company that made it (ATIWE).
Brand new old stock. The thing is so '90s i love it. Now i have to decide which one i'm going to use since i already have another ATIWE OEM
Production date 07/1993
(F1 wheel not mine)

I have an EJ2 Coupe with the "Pro-Tec" Version.
The springs are blue and 30 mm lower than the normal version.
Part number for the emblem on the doors outside: 08309-SR8-00EH (out of production).

Re: OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts
these seats are super rare but its possible to make one from original parts
the buttons look the same as these its says they are form acura tl 1995-1995
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1995-and-1996-Acura-TL-Power-Seat-Cover-Trim-with-Seat-Control-Buttons-/251717768971?hash=item3a9b8c570b&vxp=mtr
the motors should be the same too because same functions as the civic so the bad part is the seat garnish with l couldn't find :/

Re: OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts
Got a ''new'' rare item for the collection:
Eg6 parking pole WITH H-Logo
The bottom pole was a BNIB Sr4 (sedan) pole wich broke... (without the H logo)
The small belt that pushed up broke.. If ANYone has a solution, please let me know.. I'm guessing it just snapped because it's 20+ years old and was in that ''curved'' position for all that time...
Anyway, my second pole is a second handed one (used so NOT in the same position for 20years..)
Did test the pole offcourse..

Re: OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts
^ There is no known fix for a broken gear belt on the poles. It is a design weakness that they get brittle and break. 20 years old now. There is a tiny wire that runs the length of them to power the bulb so it's not like you can just 3D print another. My advice would be to avoid them altogether. Some things just aren't worth the trouble.

Well, at least i got the wiring and switch BNIB...
Is there any way to remove the pole itself from the motor assembly..?
Maybe then it is possible to remove the belt from the light.

Re: OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts
Copied from a message I sent to fungus mungus in 2013:
"[...]there is a stiff plastic toothed "rod" that a gear inside the motor mechanism uses to push the pole up and pull it down. This rod was broken on one that you sent me, while I had two others that had functional rods but their extending "pole" parts were bent and did not allow for full extension/retraction. The crux of the issue then lied with how to remove the toothed rod from one and put it in the other. Turns out that the rod is connected directly to the bulb holder near the tip, and if you unscrew the green tip and push down on the metal pole, then the rod and bulb holder stay in place and pop right out."
At that point you can unscrew the metal pole part.

So sad on an BNIB pole. Give it to some engineer and ask him to fix it, was like 3 years since i opened one - but as I remember it didn't seem too hard to fix.
When we are on the "pole"-theme. Wasn't there a rear bumper pole as well? Or was it just for EK?

I'm not sure, It was in his coupe and he pulled it before he gave it to his brother. I know it was working when he did, but it's been more than 6 years since this has been on. I don't remember what it looked like.
