x500 thieves can burn in hell
yeah, i love the way fbp looks and it is more under the radar imo. ebp looks good but theres way more of them than there are fbps, plus its an si-only color so it raises the likelihood of it getting stolen or messed with even more. mr is nice, but i'm a firm believer that it is more of an arrest-me-red.

I hear that, I would have MR before EBP. I just see way to many EBP cars. Mine will most likely stay FBP but I really like Matador red mica that comes on the lexus.

Looks great man. Glad that not much happened with the jack tards trying to get your wheels. My driver side rear bumper does the same thing. I replaced the clip but it still pops out...going to try and heat the rear bumper and work it back into place. If not, new bumper.

Re: Just another stock em1
This thread is pretty old but I have just been doing a lot of saving and things are finally coming together. Nothing to crazy but I figured I would post some of these pictures.I picked up a JDM ITR b18c from Jspec Auto in Ashland Va. The same night that I got back from getting the engine I was at a friend of mine and the next morning I walked outside to find a drink all over the front of my car and they keyed the rear passenger side. Insurance is going to pay for the side to get fixed so after the swap it will be going to paint. I picked up 2 OEM fender from honda and a Mugen style front lip that is going to be paint matched. The bay is going to be sprayed a Chassis black because I like the OEM clean style and the car will be FBP. These are some recent pictures before the "build"
AND YES IT HAS A SWAY BAR NOW !
I picked up a 98 spec b18c from Jspec in Ashland Va. The motor was actually very clean and looked to be in great shape. We tore into it a little and had a very long receipt from honda from gaskets, all new hard ware, a lot of everything. The Tranny will have OEM LSD and gearing. Exedy organic stage 1 clutch, exedy lightweight flywheel, and OEM throw out bearing.
The stock b16a2 had a blown head gasket and was pretty tired. This is a picture right before it went into the "Barn" lol
as of today I have most everything pulled out of the bay and got it cleaned up and will be getting some paint on it after a little more work. Just a quick picture I took in the process
Like I said the engine is staying pretty stock. New cap and rotor, NGK plugs and wire. Stock head minus skunk 2 cam gears. Stock intake manifold and TB, BDL fuel rail with OEM injectors. Stock header for right now. I cut the top 2 brackets and ground them down and had them heat coated and then wrapped them. I kept the bottom skid plate to keep it nice .. I hope
I should have updates tomorrow ! hopefully getting the bay prepped for paint. I have a Momo wheel with nrg hub coming along with Carbing cooling plate and a few other odds and ins. Thanks for looking lol

Re: Just another stock em1
I know this isn't going to be a show car nor do I want it to be a show car so instead of dropping a large chunk of money just to have the bay painted I picked up some "chassis black" from DuPont and a cheap spray gun and decided to try and do it myself. After a lot of cleaning and sanding the finished product actually came out a LOT better than I expected. I spent about 80 dollars all together and I am very happy with the finished product.
I gave it 3 coats and now it is sitting to dry. I didn't actually plan on doing it this way but I am saving a lot of money. I went ahead and decided to paint the brake lines with the rest of the bay. There are a very few spots where it doesn't look the best but nothing awful. It will do for me

Thanks man! Engine should be sitting in there by the end of the day. I got the timing all done, valves adjusted and the clutch assembly on yesterday. Finish up some wiring and I am probably going to re loom the harness because I don't have the cash flow for a new one.

Another awful cell phone picture, but this was last night of the engine ready to go in.
valve cover is filthy and will get painted and cut, just not yet.
