Re: (toohott4handlin)

they have, check out ebay. I still think these are fake. If they are'nt then bride seats are clunky and crappy https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif

beyondspexj 02-09-2006 08:13 AM

where it says BRIDE on the headrest... is it centered or is it off a little? looks off in the picture

rule of thumb, most brides used by memebers here are fake simply because a set of real deals cost more than their cars

LilCivic04 02-09-2006 11:35 PM

Re: (c61lude)

im pretty sure that isn't real man, i had replicas and i've seen the real deal. im99% sure that is suede

(JON) 02-10-2006 12:57 AM

soundbomber 02-10-2006 01:07 AM

..... nothing on my car is fake, and I'm sure they don't cost more than my car. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif

duh, I did ask and he said they were real. The transaction was complex and I don't want to get into what I should and should'nt have done. That does'nt really matter anymore.

Regardless I stopped by a local shop that had ergo2's in stock and mine are exactly the same in everyway. We looked them over and the seats apear to be real https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

integraXTC 02-10-2006 08:39 PM

On the bottom side knobs, there's a plastic cover near the knob.

if it's flat, it's real. if it has bumps or ridges, it's fake. take a look at both sides too.

There you guys have it. Now you can point and laugh at your friend's fake seat.
BTW, buying seats for "looks" is rice. I'd buy seats for FIA aproveal for track racing. don't be lame. posers https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif

Here's pictures of a fake Bride Brix II:

cloth, plush, soft, etc. I bet you guys thought it was real. Doesn't mater, it goes well with most of the owners here anyways. fake goes with fake y0.

Thank you for re-itterating this. Mine are flat also the bride tag says "made in japan" and has some japanese writing on it. Also under the seat there is a white sticker that has the bride holding monster on it and it says "type G" which is ergo 2. They have'nt ripped off the ergo 2 to my knowledge yet thank god https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

can anyone tell by looking at these pictures if these are real or fake?

Re: How to tell the difference between real and fake brides

I don't think you can tell by pictures. I've seen several of these seats direct from ebay and they looked just like everything in this thread. The only definitive thing I see is that post above about the plate by the knob.

I'm sorry to see you have those seats. I got them before also, Did a half sleeve tattoo for them. Well I caught wind that the guy I got them from wasn't really telling the truth about them. My friends said it was fake, cause they said that the guy felt it was fake and got ripped off too. Some shops down here said fake some said not fake... The shop that said not fake offered me a set of SSR type-x(mint), hks catback, and some tanabe springs. I traded him with the quickness; tired of wondering if they where real or fake...
