Default Carbon fiber hood?

Hey so it's time for a new hood since my current one has so many dents. Just want some opinions on whether I should go carbon fiber or stay with a regular hood. Cost is not an issue here. Just wondering how long until the clear coat fades? I'm planning on getting a VIS oem style hood. Any tips on maintaining the hood? I'd like to hear about others' experiences with CF hoods. The only thing really holding me back is how long it lasts. Also, are hood pins necessary? The hood is going on a DD, not a track car if that plays a factor.

and just for reference, going on this car:

That color is perfect IMO. I would stay OEM.

i have a vis oem cf hood on my 99 coupe, havent had any problems, fitment was a tiny bit off, but i just messed with the brackets and everything is good now. ive had it for about a year i guess, and no fading *cross fingers*, cracking or anything else really, and havent put hood pins on, and been to the track w/ it w/ no problemo.
hope this helps

Fiber Images is probably the best quality, fitting hood out there for a reasonable price. Unless you wanna go baller with spoon or something like that.

im most likely going to get vis since i can find it for a pretty good price compared to others. I'm no baller so spoon is out of the question, haha. nice to hear about the feedback on vis. I can't find any fiber image hoods at the right price. This is really helpful, keep it coming everyone.
