On-Car comparison of Rota Grids and Volk TE-37's!

Just found some pics on my hard drive that are a fair comparison of Rota vs. Volk TE-37's.

Same type of car (96-00 coupe), both bronze, both 16". https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

16" Bronze Rota Grids:

rota will never duplicate the width and angles correctly , the te's look a lot more solid .

I know, that's what bothers me.

I want 16" bronze Volk TE-37's so bad, but I just can't justify spending the $ on them.

The Grids are within my budget, but the spokes are too skinny. Ugh. http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif

I think they can but they don't want to otherwise they will get sued out of the business.

hey thats my old si https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif i think the big difference is in the color. the volks are a darker bronze....but rota does make a new full royal sports bronze for the grids....its a dark bronze like the volks. i know the volks are better in many ways....but they are hella $$$

therefore that's why I think they are whack...
the gt3's came out, they don't look like gabs..
the c8's came out , they don't look like mf's...
when the cpr copies come out, they won't have the red lettering in the center as well correct spoke size.

i think both are ugly. dont like the te's dont like the grids. they look almost identical. clearly there will alwasys be differenes, but the rotas are cheap strong and light. why spend so much on the volks. little rays stikers are badasstho no doubt about it]

edit: just saw the new pitures--- to be honest. rota's olor is hotter.

Re: (boostincoupe)

The car with the Grids on it is mine.

To me, the volks do look a lot different than the Grids, for example, the spoke design on both wheels is slightly different, the angles on the grids spokes are much more defined than that of the volks, The grids also have some what of a flat dished appearence on the side profile of the wheels, which is also a dead giveaway. The spokes on the grids are thicker than that the TE37's, on the backside... if u kno what im saying from the full view of the rim the spokes on the grids are thinner. But the most noticable difference between TE37's and Grids is the lip, the lip on the Grids is more dished and sticks out a little more than a TE37 would because of its +40 offset, the TE37 moreso relies on the center part of the wheel for the wheels offset. And of course, the authentic volk bronze finish cant be matched, i have authentic TE37 drag wheels so i know how nice the finish is. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

but reguardless, they were good wheels.
