205/45/16 or 205/40/16?
any opinons on which would be better or more ideal for handling?
also any pics of a side by side difference? thanks in advance! |
WHat kind of car do you have??? 40 Series on a 16 usually look gay. Do a 45 Series they handle great and look good.

not gay, just a little small. i think a little bigger sidwall would look better. 40 series http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...MXk1NDE%3D.jpg 45 series http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...9_100_full.jpg |
Re: (krew)
don't get 50's, they look like this https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif monster tires..(i bought the wheels with these tires)
http://www.jtuned.com/media/gallery%...uad%2F05%2Ejpg i'd say get 45's. 40's are too low profile and the ride is rough.. |
Re: (Airbag Club)
clean ass hatch https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
|
Get 45s, 40s have a horrible ride and road noise, and look a little too low profile
|
Re: (Airbag Club)
|
45s are perfect... 40s are a bit loud and harsh
|
Re: (plusONErandy)
Get 45s, they ride better. But if you want to slam the car, I'd say get 40s.
|
Re: (IntegraBoy04)
205-45-16's......
|
I've had both... 40s LOOK hot... 45s RIDE nice.
I scrapped the 40s and went to a 45. Sacrifice some look, but gain some functionality, but functionality in itself is beautiful. <-- avitar is on 40s |
Re: (collateral)
yeah my cars not slammed...its riding on the stock 15 inch rims with 195/55/15 mich pilots and its lowered to where the lip of the fender is sittin rite on top of the tire...so im switching to a 16 inch rim so of course i gotta go lower profile so u think with that description the 205/45/16's will fill the wheel wells perfect? https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif or https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif
|
45's. Loved them with my 16's.
|
Re: (dohc-nyne)
45's unless you plan on slamming it 4 inches

16 x ? For 16 x 7 I used 215-45-16 or 205-50-16 same fit.. |
Go 45's it'll look better and ride better.
|

word. i had 45's on my 93 hatch and they rubbed a little in the back. |
Re: (Slammed_CX)
45 series is better IMO.... 40 series on an integ just looks small especially if u dont slam it. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Re: (JDMako)
205/45/16 is a good set up for daily driving..I had them on my car but they do tend to rub a little when you turn hard into a corner..... old pic from 2+ years ago with a 2 inch drop
