What Tamiya colour do you all use for Recaro Red?
And also what colour for a black interior?
Do use hand paint or spray the undetailed parts of the undercarage?

What air brushes if any do you guys and gals use?
I have just been using the Tamiya rattle cans with great results, just looking for better results.
I have found testor full air brush and compressor kit for like 60 bucks. I like it, the price is good, but I would like to know if I am just waisting my money.
Any brands that I should look at?

Re: (jarel)
I've been working on my JDM ITR a little bit lately. The color is Duplicolor Light Driftwood. There is no suspension on it yet, I just set wheels under it for pics. Using just regular elmer's glue seemed to fix my problem of my lights becoming foggy

Re: (jarel)
thanks! I can't get my steering wheel as good as lilaznsnipah, but I'm working on getting most of it done. Not too much left besides windows and suspension. Might mod the windows a little. The driver door and passenger door window are there, I might cut them out so it's like the windows are rolled down

Re: (lilaznsnipah)
cool, thanks man! I used a brush about that size too. Maybe I just don't have a steady enough hand and enough patience...lol. To slam that, I guess you really did have to cut a lot of it out. Did you use the bottom of the strut at all or just pieces of the tree? Kinda sucks it looks like that, but who cares about the bottom. Thanks again!

Re: (PA MATT)
yea no prob man.... u can use some of the strut depending on the model... prolly gonna have to cut that too tho for it to work... yea, juss paint all the parts u used flat black, n it looks hella straight when ur done... my integras so low, that the body is almost touching the ground, but if u look closely, its only the tires touching the ground....
as for as painting the lil details on the steering wheel and the red stitching, the brush is sooo thin, that its like it only has 10 thin strands or so... all u need to do for the steering wheel is dip only the tip of hte brush, then juss tap each of the 6 rivets slightly, then paint the silver circle horn button... when it dries.. use the same brush, n carefully paint a red H with tamiya flat red, pretty simple, juss 3 lines lol... u can also do that with the shift **** too... paint the **** silver, then carefully paint 3 vertical lines, then paint one horizontal line n ur all set... n the red stitching is pretty simple w/ that thin paint brush.. do it on the shift boot too n the inside of the steering wheel if u wanna go all out.. n u can also paint the red triangle for the emergency brake button as well n a lil silver wavy lines for the defroster, n if u have some gunmetal, u can paint the type R trim, kinda like the carbon fiber (climate control, center console, a/c vents.)... haha, n u got urself a fully detailed type r interior..
