What's the ideal size for a desktop picture?

I don't know the specs, but like I said those ones I posted in this thread are reduced by 33%. When I try to use the full sized ones for a desktop they get stretched or cut off.

When I reduce them by 50% they seem to fit perfect with no stretching.

Does that sound about right?

that all depends, 800x600 is still used, but not much, and most people use 1024x768, then there are the freaks like me who run 1600x1200 b/c it looks good on a 21'' monitor. so id say 1024 is a good size, windows can stretch the image with virtually no image quality difference.

And I remembered some posts that have been locked because all they had were pictures and no technical write ups. I don't have a problem with you or your car. We have had disagreements in the past.
