They don't have service intervals, you just replace them when they go bad. The easiest way is the bounce test. With the car parked on flat ground, use body weight to get one corner bouncing up and down, and then let go. It shouldn't take more than 1 rebound to stop moving. If it does, that corner has failed. You can also look at the shock to see if it is leaking.
