Need to check software version, please help?
I use PCMSCAN for OBD scanning, and can check whatever I need to with that program via my laptop.
Does anyone know if there's a way to check what software version I have on my 2003 ACCORD V6, so I can avoid having to pay the dealer $80 just to do that.
I'm thinking I have an older version that needs to updated to fix some of the pinging issues I'm having, among other things possibly.

I don't know of a way to check the program ID that is currently installed on your PCM without the HDS but maybe you could negotiate that price for the update. I am not saying that is excessive but maybe some negotiations/ shopping/ coupon usage could lower that price a little.
