Installing Subwoofer
Is it possible to install a subwoofer using the stock Honda Headunit on my 7th gen accord sedan? It has the 6 disc cd change. Or do I have to install an aftermarket headunit? I'm looking to get the Infinity Basslink.
If it is possible..is it possible to hook up a 4-way amplifier for my speakers using the same stock headunit?
Any information would be helpful..thanks!

Re: Installing Subwoofer
Be careful, many of these guys are strictly car guys but not car audio guys!
You can run off stock headunit but the amp output is a lot weaker than with an aftermarket headunit installed. Most audiophiles would consider this a waste of money since you really are limiting your system immediately from the source.
JL CleanSweep does work well and is maybe the easiest way to keep your stock headunit while maintaining performance from speakers/subs.
If you are serious about your system I would suggest a few weeks on the www.caraudio.com forums.

Re: Installing Subwoofer
your going to need an amp, a wiring kit,
remote and rca from the cd player ran to the amp.
power wire through the firewall and then hidden by the trim .
ground wire no longer than 18 inches long then speaker wire to your amp.
for clarity you need an aftermarket reciever with rca output.
