Hello. I just bought a 2006 Honda Accord, EXL, V6 Sedan, 60K Miles, Automatic Transmission.
It was a one owner vehicle, well maintained.
Unfortunately I am experiencing a vibration problem.

At idle and at slow speeds, there is NO vibration and the vehicle accelerates smoothly with plenty of power.

When Im accelerating between 40 to 65 mph, I feel a vibration in the steering wheel and throughout the front of the vehicle start to occur.

(I would describe it as a "tight vibration.")
The steering wheel does not shimmy, the car still feels "tight" - but there is a very noticeable vibration in the front end - steering wheel, seat, basically in the front of the car.

The vibration is not just during acceleration but is present when coasting at speed also (60 - 70 mph.)
I have driven at speed on the highway and put the car in neutral, (60 - 70 mph) and the vibration does not go away.

I have had the tires balanced and done a 4 wheel alignment on the car - and also had in inspected at my local Honda dealer.
I have not had a Honda tech drive it while I was in the car yet.
Which I think will be my next step.

My question, where should I start trying to figure out the solution?
Bad tire?
Inner CV joint?
Transmission issue?
(The trans feels good and shifts well, always.)

You can rule out tie-rods if the wheel doesn't shimmy. I would start by checking for uneven tire wear and a thorough inspection of the suspension.

Check your tires for cupping. If the tires are worn and have a decent amount of miles without being rotated, they are probably cupped. That will give you a virbration close to what you are describing. Just rub your hand along the inside of the tire close to the suspension. If you feel the tread is kind of "wavy" that would mean they are cupped. If you dont feel anything and the tread is smooth, you are fine.

Check tires, and not just the fronts- vibrations from the back tires can make the front wobble.. also check struts and suspension components. Sears does a free front end check if you can't find anything. sounds like bad tires to me though

When you have the tires rotated make sure, Your brake isn't rubbing a little.It does sound like tire wear of somekind.

Rotate and balance tires, check tires for wear or a broken belt

I would check the wheel balancing and change the tire if it is about to be changed.

Also check the Lower arms.

i have a 1997 accord lx, same vibration problem

ive in the past 3yrs replaced both drive axels, drivers side inner tie rod, struts all around, rotors, 17" rims and tires (dont know size off hand)
I feel the vibration mostly after going up hill on highway and coasting between 60 and 70.
I found i had a dented rim, got it balanced, thumping noise went away kinda, but the vibration thing is coming and going. at first i thought it was the actual road, cuz now i have a really rough ride because of the rims.

anyway next i'm going to change the hub bearings and hope that stops the vibrations.
and the control arms if that doesnt work
this is weird because it feels like a car running out of gas it shakes soo bad
