Default 2013 excessive oil burned?

Hi guys,
Anyone with a 13+ accord that having this issue? Just got a low oil pressure light on last weekend and found out i have no more oil left. Had the oil changed back in January and roughly drove 4000 miles. I searched around and there are some complained about oil issues but does not seem that anyone is getting resolve. I also found that Honda got sued for this for the older model. The dealer said to come back after 1000 miles and they check again. Any recommendations out there?

I4 or V6?

Follow their direction to a T. Go back at 1K miles and see. Do not add any oil to the engine. You may be looking at a new engine under warranty.

It is a 4cyl. Yeah, I will come back after 1k miles and see. I don't know if I am under warranty still, already past 36k miles. I thought the powertrain is for 60k, but gotta check again. They tried to charge me for compression test, but decided not to at the end (not sure why but won't be complaining). My dad's 07 camry had the same issue, I they replaced the piston rings and some seals.

Would it still be worth it to keep the car even if they repair the issue? I don't want to deal with more issues in the long run.

The powertrain is 5/60, so you should be covered.

If they replaced the engine, yes, I would keep the car. I would keep it because now your car is worth a bit less because it's not number matching. So you might as well get the most use out of it. I'm not saying an Accord is a collectors car where number matching matters. But anyone would run a car fax report, and this repair would be listed.

If the "fix it," like re-ring it, or other fixes, I would consider trading selling/trading it. The repair may still show up, but at least it's the "same engine."

Thanks for your inputs GoLowDrew. I'll see what they going to do and decide what's next. I got my eyes on the new TLX but seem like they share a similar engine, so we'll see hahaha.

I like the TLX too. But there's something about paying top $$$ for a base car with "nothing" vs. a loaded Honda Accord V6 EX-L for the same money. 2016 vs 2016.

As for "same engine?" I'm on my 3rd J35 V6 engine Honda.

1st one 2009 - minor oil consumption.
2nd one 2010 - a bit more than the first.

Both are "normal" according the the "new" definition of what oil consumption is.

3rd one 2014 - not a drop of oil between changes. The way I recall how Hondas used to be.

The example above is to note that good cars can be bad. And bad cars can be good. It really is luck and chance IMO.

I do agreed it is all on luck. My old car isnt even this bad, but I guess it just my luck lol. I know paying roughly for the same price on the base TLX vs the Accord V6 loaded isnt worth much, but something about that new style that I like, although I am not looking for a longer and higher payment though :/
