Default 2004 ACCORD FRONT END SHAKES

Our front end shakes starting at about 40mph and gets worse around 60mph. You can feel the shaking worse on the passengers side.

we replaced the tires, Honda said to replace the right drive axle, both axles looked good, no slack, and the boots were in good condition. We reluctantly replaced the right axle to no avail..Honda said to replace the other axle and we refused...they say there is nothing else that they can do until we replace the other axle. we asked what would be next after that axle and they have no idea.

we also replace the struts, the passengers strut went out.

anyone have ideas????

could be a few things... lower control arm bushings could be torn. Did the shake start AFTER the strut change?

Shake was before strut change, all the bushings look good, everything in the frontend seems tight and looks good.

you would need to remove the lower control arm bushing to tell how badly and to what extent it is torn, they are ALL torn to some extent, some worse than others. Pulling on the suspension by hand while still installed is not the way to check to issues. you can not generate enough force to tell how the suspension is doing under load. Same with Engine mounts, which it could also be

Check the engine mounts all around. I was told that after while they tend to dry rot and wear out.

Sounds like bad tie-rod ends.

Double check ball joints. Even the slightest amount of movement will cause a vibration that feels exactly like a tire out of balance.
