Default Zero Air Through Center Stack Vents

I'm back, with another slightly-annoying issue with my 2008 Honda Accord EX-L V6, non-navigation.

I don't remember when this started because I haven't had to blow large amounts of warm or cool air through my vents for a while, but I noticed late last week that no matter what mode or temperature I set my HVAC, nothing comes out the center vents.

Here's some facts:

- Air comes out every other vent, always.
- Temperature is not an issue; it adjusts as I adjust the thermostat.
- Intensity is not an issue; it adjust as I adjust the fan speed.
- When cycling the modes with the car off (to hear the mechanism), the only noise I hear is when I adjust to forward-only. The sound is a few clicks. Every other mode doesn't make any sort of sound.
- There is no difference between passenger and driver side.
- My feet get cold, quick.
- Every combination of the HVAC diagnostics I found don't seem to work or they don't report anything.

I looked around before I posted this and I have a general idea of what it could be (vent door stuck, controlling it is shot, actuator malfunction, relay, etc) but I'm not really sure how to gain access to it. I'm not very good at figuring out how to remove the plastic kick panel and under-dash panel in this car. I could do it in my '99 without problems, but that's neither here nor there.

I want to try and save a dealer trip since it's not clear if this is covered under my warranty and I don't want to pay them money to find out, if I can help it.

At some point during my wife's tinkering with the air controls a couple weeks ago, it fixed itself, then went back to the way it was this morning when I drove it. No ideas?

There is a "self test" of the HVAC controls you can run - no tools needed.

If the/one of the mode control motors is going out they can be tested checked.

Ran diagnostics on the Climate Control, found this:

CODE J/A/C ON - A problem in the mode control motor circuit, linkage, door, or motor.

I don't have tools to test the motor as the instructions require so I'll probably have to take it to the dealer anyway. At least I know what's wrong.
