where to buy wiper blades?
I need to buy some new wiper blades since the old one makes this weird sound when activated...kinda like sandpaper.
I remember buying PIAA blades like 5 years ago but dont remember where though. I googled and got some websites but don't know if I can trust em.
I'd also appreciate it if anyone knows where I can buy engine oil, filters..etc cheaper. TIA

Re: where to buy wiper blades? (Calavera)
There are better options for wiper blades other than PIAA. As far oil and filters, just about any auto parts store and especially Walmart will be cheaper vs. online since shipping usually drives cost.

Re: where to buy wiper blades? (JDM_Acccord)
I know on my 93 Prelude with a JDM h22a swap, I ran HAMP filters. Prolly a little over kill and such but just piece of mind. I change a filter about every other oil change.
As far as wipers go, I was considering trying to find some sort of wiper that matched the new Civic wipers. All rubbery...

You have a few options.
1. Auto parts stores (best chances, not too expensive)
2. Dealership (way expensive)
3. Wal-mart (cheapest way to go)
4. Online (Prices vary)
As for getting something like the newer Civic.
Completely rubberize wipers.
Michelin, Valeo, Bosch etc.
They all came out with the new style wipers. Coverage is excellent, but they run for $15-$40 a blade

Wal-mart have the Michelin for $15 a blade, but they might not stock the 26' balde that the driver side requires.
Kragen/Schucks/Checkers have the Bosch & Taylor ones. They run for $20-$30 a blade.
Tirerack.com has the Valeo, they are $20 a blade. (currently waiting for my order to come)
Well..just like any new blade, they get the job done. Haven't been able to test them out up here. Haven't had heavy rain yet.

Re: where to buy wiper blades? (Calavera)
The best option for wipers is OEM Honda blades, because the rubber insert is replaceable. If you have OE blades, then you don't have to spend $20-40 replacing the complete blades; inserts are less than $5 apiece at any Honda dealership.
The best part? A fresh Honda insert wipes better than the vast majority of aftermarket blades out there. I've used Bosch, Anco, Michelin, and a few others, but I've not been impressed - especially for their price and longevity.

x2 on using O.E.M. Honda blades. I also use the O.E.M. oil filter as well. It cost about $1.50 more but worth it in my opinion.

I disagree with this. Once you have purchased your car...Usually the "Stealership" will charge you WAY TOO HIGH of prices on MOST things! I think people should shop around for things and include your local shops in the hunt, But MOST of the time...The "stealership" will be just that...STEALING your money on OVER priced parts.

So you would buy a bunch of misc stuff from the dealership rather than getting it cheaper from somewhere else?
They already got more money from you when you buy a car from them

The new solid rubber blades are pretty good, but you can't buy refills for them. So every time you need replacements, it's going to cost you $40. I can get refills for the Honda blades much cheaper ($7.00). You will come out way ahead just buying the refills. I get all my maintenance items from this site. I can buy the refills 5 times, for the price of the rubber blades.

I get all my maintenance items from HandA. They are cheaper than the dealership, especially when you buy a six-pack of filters. Last time I bought wiper refills, six-pack of oil filters, power steering fluid, engine air filter, and a cabin air filter. I'm set for a while now.
